Nominations are open for the 14th Annual PRECIOUS Awards

Nominations have opened for the 14th Annual PRECIOUS Awards, the UK’s leading event to celebrate the achievements of women of colour.

The awards place the spotlight on women of colour starting and growing a business, outstanding leaders and those working their magic in corporate life. Categories include, Young Entrepreneur of the year, the Outstanding Woman in Public Sector, and the Social Enterprise of the Year.

Since their launch, the awards have attracted cross-party support from the three major political parties and celebrated the success stories of women including; entrepreneur and author Jessica Huie, former Apprentice finalist Bianca Miller and Dr Diane Ashiru-Oredope, the Pharmacist Lead for Antimicrobial Resistance and Stewardship and HCAI at Public Health England.

This year, in acknowledgement of the extraordinary times that we are in, the awards introduce two new awards. The Outstanding Youth Advocate of the Year is
open to young female leaders and change makers aged 25 and under. The category looks to reward courage and impact in Youth Advocacy with an emphasis on nominees whose impact has been felt in the Black Lives Matter movement or in the response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The e Social Impact Award recognises those women whose work and/or organisation has achieved an outstanding, transformative impact on communities and society in Great Britain, with a focus on challenging race inequality.

Nominations can be made at www.preciousawards.com close on the 16 October 2020.
