Come and join us for our monthly PRECIOUS Nights at the British Library!

PRECIOUS Nights provide an opportunity to hear previous PRECIOUS Award winners and finalists share the highs lows and lessons of their business journey, give actionable tips and advice. It’s about storytelling, connecting and community in a unique atmosphere of collaboration and motivation.

Rashada Harry

Rashada Harry is the Founder of  Your Future Your Ambition,  a social enterprise she created in 2012, which aims to encourage people from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority backgrounds into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) related careers.

Rashada was motivated to help start YFYA after seeing the lack of ethnic minority women in the technology industry when she joined the industry as a graduate trainee.

Rashada won the PRECIOUS Social Enterprise Award of the Year Award in 2015.

Rioch Edwards-Brown

Rioch Edwards-Brown is the Founder of So You Wanna Be In TV? a grassroots social enterprise set up after her son was shot and stabbed while in school. Rioch did not want revenge and reached out to the community to give something back.

She addresses social mobility and the lack of diversity on TV. Rioch has diversified in a range of sectors including, AI, tech and creative.  So You Wanna Be In Tech? was launched in 2016 and So You Wanna Be In Creative? in 2017.

Lisa Maynard-Atem
